Reeves Hill and Hamlen Woods, Wayland, MA
The 2009 Take-A-Hike event covered the same walk as last year (orange on the map). Congratulations to all. Participants were:

The Williamson-Winthrop clan garnered most superlatives: most ticks (Stephen Winthrop) and oldest hiker (Claude Williamson at 89 years 9 months). As can be seen in the photos, smiles remained from beginning to end. Stats: 5 miles, 2:37, no rain, 70s, partly cloudy.
Two other routes, shown in red and purple on the map, were notably rejected by the hikers as less desirable. I think they were right. We deviated slightly from the published route; do you know where?
Dinner revived all, and conversation lasted past dessert. The tree frogs attacked the house later in the evening during the rain storm; we were all safe. See the photo.
